Delete your Servease account

Permanently remove your Servease account and the personal data associated with it.

Effective: May 19, 2026Updated: May 19, 2026

You can request deletion of your Servease account and the personal data associated with it. This page explains the two ways to make the request, what we delete, what we are legally required to keep, and how long the process takes. If you only want to take a break, you can simply sign out — deletion is permanent.

For the full description of how Servease processes your data, see our Privacy Policy.

Two ways to request deletion

Option A — From inside the Servease app (fastest)

  1. Open the Servease app and sign in.
  2. Tap Profile in the bottom navigation.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  4. Read the on-screen confirmation and tap Confirm.
  5. You will receive an email confirming the request.

Option B — From this page (works without the app)

If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, you can email our team. We will verify your identity and process the request on your behalf.

Email your deletion request

Opens your mail client addressed to support@skygridtech.org with a pre-filled message you can edit before sending.

Identity verification

  • We must verify that the request is genuinely from the account holder.
  • Verification is by email round-trip — we send a confirmation link to the email address on file, and you must click it within 24 hours.
  • Requests sent from email addresses that are not on file will be rejected, with a reply explaining how to make the request from the registered address.

What gets deleted

The following items are removed permanently within the deletion timeline below:

  • Profile data — name, email, phone, profile photo, date of birth.
  • Account credentials — password hash, biometric-enabled flag, linked Google Sign-In identity.
  • Errand history visible to you — completed, cancelled, and active errands.
  • Uploaded photos and attachments.
  • In-app messages you sent.
  • FCM push token and device-binding identifiers (ANDROID_ID / IDFV).
  • Push subscriptions and notification preferences.
  • Saved addresses and payment instrument tokens stored by Servease (the underlying card data is held by the payment processor and is deleted per their policy).
  • Sentry and Firebase user-scoped event scrub.

What is retained, and why

Retained dataHow longWhy
Transaction and financial records (invoices, payouts, refunds)5–7 years (statutory)Tax and financial-services regulations require it.
KYC verification records (ID checks performed by Dojah)5 years after the relationship ends (typical AML retention)Anti-money-laundering and anti-fraud regulations.
Fraud / abuse / safety flags tied to the accountUp to 7 yearsLegitimate interest in protecting other users and the platform.
Aggregated, anonymized analyticsNo expiryThe data no longer identifies you.
Records subject to a legal hold or active disputeUntil the matter is resolvedCourt order / legal obligation.

Third-party data propagation

At deletion time, here is what we do with each major processor:

  • Google Firebase — we revoke your FCM token and remove your Firebase Installation record from our backend mapping.
  • Sentry — we issue a per-user scrub request so your past crash reports are no longer associated with your user ID.
  • Dojah — KYC records are retained for the statutory AML period as described above; after that, we instruct Dojah to delete on our behalf.
  • Payment processor — payment instrument tokens are revoked; transaction records remain per the processor's statutory retention.

Timeline

  • Within 72 hours: we acknowledge your verified request by email.
  • Within 30 days: deletion is completed across our production systems.
  • Within 90 days: deletion propagates through our backups and disaster-recovery snapshots. These snapshots are write-locked, so individual records cannot be removed earlier — but they expire on this rolling window.
  • You will receive a final confirmation email when deletion is complete.

What happens to your access right away

  • Your account is deactivated immediately upon a verified request — you will not be able to sign in even if the backend deletion is still in progress.
  • Any active errands you have are cancelled or transferred per our Terms of Service.

Things that can pause a deletion request

  • An active dispute or unresolved transaction on the account.
  • A legal hold or law-enforcement preservation request.
  • Outstanding balance owed by or to the account.

If any of these apply, we will tell you when you submit the request and resume deletion as soon as they are resolved.
